Chetan Bhagat's fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, etc. mistake.....

was reading an article "Don't worry, be happy" (TOI, 16/7) by Chetan Bhagat on how women are stressed in today's world....He has given five suggestions to reduce their stress levels which are all debatable....
1. Don't ever think you are without power. give it back to that mother-in-law.... why ????first, not all mother-in-law's are as they are projected.....secondly, why cant MEN control their MOM's!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. If you are doing a good job at work and your boss doesn't value you - tell him that, or quit....RIDICULOUS...
first of all, if you are good, nobody is going to stop you from getting the credit....secondly, he has assumed that all bosses are MEN, it can be women also!!!!!!!!!
3. Educate yourself, learn skills, network...figure out ways to be economically independent. so next time your husband tells you that you are not a good wife, mother or daughter-in-law, you can tell him to take a hike..
IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE TO SAY THIS TO YOUR HUSBAND????WHAT ABT THEIR EGO??WILL THEY BE ABLE TO TAKE IT FROM WIFE???
4. Donot ever feel stressed about having a dual responsibility of family and work.It is difficult but not impossible.
YOU ARE RIGHT MR, BHAGAT, IT IS DIFFICULT BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE...NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS IMPOSSIBLE...WOMEN HAVE CONQUERED MOON,,,,but why it should be the responsibility of ONLY WOMEN to look after family???...why not the husbands equally share the responsibility.....that would be LESS STRESSFUL FOR HER!!!!!
5. Don't get competitive with other women....survival of the fittest is the key in today's world MR. BHAGAT!!

Instead of wasting time in writing if only he could have helped his wife in managing the household activities, his wife would have been more RELAXED.......

Mumbai's Bloody Wednesday 13/7

Felt very sad when I heard the news.....how can people be so fanatics.......how does it matter whether they are from different countries / different religions....after all they are also human beings. they also have near and dear ones.......was watching the reactions from the people who lost their kins and from witnesses......one of the person had lost his brother....he said, people say we know how you feel....but this is not true...we dont feel the intensity of grief unless we lose our own relative....which is very true....

One eye witness said, we are spending crores of money on KASAB, but we dont have 10 ambulances to take the injured people to hospital......Can we do something????

Media hype: Heard the media compared Mumbai with Taliban / Afghanistan....this is too bad...becos MUMBAI is 100 times better than the TALIBAN / AFGHANISTAN..this will give wrong picture to the outside world...They will stop investments.....which will not be economical for the financial centre MUMBAI...

Secondly, heard them saying MUMBAI spirit  is too high..people started going to work next day..what do they expect????do the people of MUMBAI have any OPTION???? can they sit at home and watch the government / aam jantaa doing nothing to keep MUMBAI safe from the terror attacks....

one of my Dumbest moment.......

my niece was looking at the games in my cell phone..she came across Ant smasher. It seems she had played this game earlier also....i don't know whether she knew that I am very bad at games or it was her intuition that led to think I may not know the game...she started playing ant smasher.......while playing just remarked that we should avoid killing the bees.....as usual like a dumb Auntie, asked her why???(becos till then, i was killing ants as well as the bees, and the game used to stop sans knowing why??)....she looked at me, and said, auntie, this is ANT SMASHER game ...you need to kill only ANTS ! ! ooooooppppsss..FELT SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what’s the one word that describes you

Was reading an article in TOI on ‘what’s the one word that describes you’ ???. Initially, I thought it was easy to describe oneself in one word….when I actually started to narrow it down to one word, couldn’t do so. Believe me guys, it is really difficult to describe oneself in one word!!!!!!!!!!........just to keep your grey cells running, can you pl. describe yourself in ONE WORD and mail it to me……don’t want to be the only person in the boat of who couldn’t do it …….T h A n K  y O u ………

After much thinking, I described myself in one word as “experimenting”…….I like to experiment myself in every situation of my life……

Any Takers ? ? ?

Pyramid Power

This geometric form in which ancient Egyptians buried their pharaohs has engaged the interest of many over the years. Many properties, including the powers of preservation and healing were ascribed to pyramids. Soon pyramids of various sizes were built around the world. The credit for making meditation inside a pyramid a mass movement goes to the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement of India. The Maitreya Pyramid (Bangalore) measures 160 ft x 160 ft at the base. At 1/3rd height is the King’s chamber, which receives maximum energy inside the pyramid. A spiral staircase leads to the chamber, where at least 40 people can meditate at a time.

A New MovementSubhash Patri started the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement of India in 1990. The first meditation pyramid was built in 1991 in Kurnool. Currently, there are more that 20,000 meditation pyramids in India and abroad associated with the pyramid movement. Nearly 75 per cent of these are in Andhra Pradesh, while a few are in the US, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE and Fiji. Patriji tours 25 days a month propagating the merits of meditation. “I am not your guru. Breath is our guru,” says Patriji.  Mindful watching of the breath is all it takes to initiate the flowering of the Buddha within. “Meditation can be done by anyone, anywhere. Pyramids act as a catalyst only,” says Prasad Prayaga, programme director, Pyramid Valley.

Watch Your Breath
Meditation happens when you watch your breath consciously. Watching your breath meditating under a pyramid is considered to be more powerful and conducive, especially for beginners. To get maximum benefits, the pyramid should be constructed on the principles of the Giza Pyramid, which is oriented in the North-South direction, having the golden angle of inclination at 51 51 on all sides. If you dont find a pyramid in your vicinity to meditate, you neednt despair. You can get a smaller version done with all the correct angles and proportions and then use it as a cap while meditating. The pyramid caps seem to be yielding good results. Those who’ve experimented with pyramid meditation have experienced altered states of consciousness. Apart from properties of preservation and healing, out-of-body experiences are also discussed in this context.Vegetarianism is one of the guiding principles of pyramid meditation. Patriji says vegetarianism is about ahimsa. And you can’t keep spirituality and non-violence apart. “Eat healthy, vegetarian food and that too in moderation,”

Enjoy Life Mindfully
“Life is for enjoyment. Only ignorance leads to suffering,” says Patriji. “Have your rasagullas, jalebis, watch movies, plays and cricket matches. We don’t want any human being to suffer. Avoid causing harm to animals and other living beings.” Pyramid masters lead normal lives of householders and take care of their fellow beings as much as possible. The focus is clearly on two things — non-violence and meditation. Prasad Prayaga says: “There is no need to chant mantras or to pray to a deity or guru. Just observing the breath is enough.”Pyramid Valley International was recently voted as one of the seven wonders of Bangalore in a survey conducted by the Bangalore Mirror.

In its effort to reach out to a spiritually hungry world, Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement of India has started work on another bigger pyramid, this time in Hyderabad. When it is completed next year, the meditation pyramid that measures 180 feet x 180 feet at its base will be the biggest of its kind and will have a seating capacity of 6,000. With his avowed intention to unite and spiritualise the whole world by next year with Oneness Meditation, this New Age meditation technique and its pyramid masters hope to usher in a new era of peace.
